This wiki provides information for my interests in natural history, the use of computers for data management, especially for biological recording, and reading both fiction and popular scientific books.
The natural history pages contains the list of native and non native vascular plants, bryophytes, dragonflies, beetles and birds that, with my wife Jane, we have seen during our walks in the British countryside. A pan-species list summarising total number of speces seen, an RSS feed from our walks blog and list of nature reserves we have visited are also included.
The books pages list the books I have read, arranged according to my favourite authors, with the books I recommend reading highlighted.
The computer pages provide information and code I find useful for SQL Server, including T-SQL, XML technologies including DOM, SOM, SAX, DTD, XML Schema, Schematron, relaxNG, XPath, XSLT, SVG, XHTML, CSS, RSS, MSXML and Javascript, Visual Basic including VBScript, VBA and ADO.Net, PHP and Python. Information on the installing and setting up a Drupal content management website is included.
